THE SOMFY FOUNDATION AND ACTED COME TOGETHER FOR A DONATION TO THE VICTIMS OF THE EARTHQUAKES IN TURKEY AND SYRIA

The SOMFY FOUNDATION continues its work in France and abroad by welcoming a new partner, ACTED. This new partnership comes with a first tangible action in the form of two donations to the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
As of the third quarter of 2023, the Foundation now incorporates a stronger environmental component. Within this framework, it will take on new projects and is now involved with the French NGO ACTED, thus contributing to its operations' humanitarian and environmental dimensions.
ACTED is the first French international solidarity NGO that goes the last mile to support more than 20 million beneficiaries in 42 countries through more than 500 emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects.
This collaboration begins with a significant action to help the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria that took place earlier this year. The SOMFY FOUNDATION will make an exceptional emergency donation to the victims. In addition, a second donation will be made jointly with the teams at SOMFY EMEA, a SOMFY Group subsidiary concerned by the local situation through its presence in Turkey. These donations will help about 200 families representing about 1,000 people who will have access to primary care and food for a whole month.
This new partnership is very meaningful for the SOMFY FOUNDATION. For several years, we have been promoting access to housing for all, and now, working alongside ACTED allows us to help people in emergency or crisis situations and completes the actions we already carry out with our historical partner, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, whose actions focus on improving housing conditions.
