Customs Specialist

• determine HS code classification of the reference created
• determine the preferential and non-preferential origin of the products (collect information from suppliers in collaboration with the Group’s Customs Department, calculate the origin of manufactured products, and establish long-term declarations for customers)
• ensure the accuracy of customs data in ERPs (HS codes/origins/...)
• monitor flows/operations and create a map of these flows
• optimize the customs situation of your area
• represent the entities to customs authorities and support teams in their relation/communication with local authorities
• obtain and maintain the status of Authorized Exporter, Registered Exporter, and Authorized Economic Operator
• ensure export control and sanctions compliance (dual-use goods classification, ECCN classification, licenses, set local processes)
• ensure the review of prior declarations is performed, verifying that the documentation related to evaluation, classification, country of origin, and any applicable special program is complete before import or export
• establish and maintain appropriate procedures and record-keeping requirements, ensuring proper communication to operational staff
• establish a strong and transparent relationship with customs brokers (including the possibility to launch tenders)
• be the main contact for operational customs matters with various teams in the group, customs representatives, customs administration, and other authorities linked to customs
• participate in the SAP Program as Key-User Customs
• participate in cross-functional projects such as the AEO certification
• participate in the continuous improvement of customs processes
• be a source of proposals on the possibilities of optimizing customs flows
• carry out random consistency checks on import and export files
• set up reporting to feed KPI's
• management of customs controls
• obtaining & maintain customs simplifications/authorizations
• streamlining import & export operations

• operational customs expertise (5 years of experience minimum)
• master’s degree in customs & export control regulation
• efficiency and high interpersonal skills
• proactivity and autonomy
• fluent English - C1 level
• fluent Polish
• readiness to travel about 20% of the time
