Job Description

As Sr Supply Planner for Somfy Americas, you will be responsible for managing S&OP cycle to meet customer service and inventory objectives. Ensure on time deliveries from vendors and to customers, key partners will include global planning teams, Vendors, Logistics, Demand Planning, Product, Engineering and Customer Service

  • Manage inventory levels and order fulfillment performance by leveraging system-based tools and maintaining regular communication with production sites, logistics operations, business managers, and customer service teams
  • Monitor and optimizes key inventory metrics, including safety stock coverage, stockout rate percentage, planning variance, and excess & obsolete inventory, using the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) tool
  • Oversee inventory balancing across North American distribution centers, coordinating internal product transfers to maintain stock levels in line with company guidelines
  • Collaborate with demand planners to manage forecast variances, adjusting safety stock levels as needed. Works closely with cross-functional teams to achieve financial goals and support S&OP supply review meetings
  • Identify opportunities for supply chain optimization, actively participating in key projects to enhance operational capabilities. Conducts ad hoc analyses and reporting, providing leadership and recommending process improvements within the department

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering
  • 4+ years of working in Supply Chain specifically in the areas of forecasting, procurement, demand, and supply planning in a Manufacturing Environment
  • 2+ years of ERP experience SAP/S4HANA and IBP
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel
  • Flexible and proactive, thriving in dynamic environments and managing multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency
  • Creative problem solver with a structured mindset, focused on delivering customer satisfaction and meeting deadlines in fast-paced settings
  • Proficient in creating Excel models and routine reports, with expertise in handling large datasets and maintaining meticulous attention to detail
