Job Description

Regional Sales Manager: Midlands/East Anglia Region (office in Leeds)

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager who will play a key role in managing and expanding our B2B customer base. This role requires acting as a commercial advisor, providing strategic guidance to drive mutual growth, and ensuring strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers. You will be responsible for delivering timely and comprehensive product and service information while identifying new business opportunities to support company expansion.

As a proactive and strategic thinker, you will manage accounts, support customers with technical challenges, and contribute to customer satisfaction through problem-solving and training initiatives. By leveraging a push & pull strategy, you will help achieve the sales budget within the Pro Channel, actively acquiring new customers in both established and emerging market segments. Your analytical skills will be crucial in assessing market trends, monitoring competitors, and proposing expansion opportunities. You will provide valuable input on market share, pricing trends, and sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial objectives. Through collaboration with internal departments, you will share insights on product portfolio performance, margin developments, and regional growth potential. 

The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional, preferably in the blinds market. With a minimum of five years of sales experience, you have a proactive, results-driven approach and the ability to work independently while fostering strong relationships. Your entrepreneurial mindset, technical savvy, and deep understanding of sales and business performance indicators will set you up for success. IT literacy, including CRM systems, is essential for this role. Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manages sales & relationship management B2B customers (Pro Channel):
    • Acts as commercial advisor and gives guidance for mutual growth;
    • Maintains the relationship with existing customers, also by providing timely and comprehensive information about products and/or services and preparing proposals on new opportunities;
    • Supports customers with technical issues both on-site and at the customer's premises through advice and problem solving with a view to training as well as meeting customer & end-user satisfaction;
  • Helps achieve the sales budget of the Pro Channel channel through account management and business opportunities (taking into account the push & pull strategy);
  • Acquires new customers within existing and/or new market segments, with a proactive policy towards prospects;
  • Provides input (market share, price evolution and sales budget) for the budget process of the company;
  • Analyses the volume, turnover, product portfolio and margin developments (where applicable) per customer and sharing this information internally with the departments involved;
  • Prepares and achieves regional plans after analysing the market and mapping accounts:
    • Collects, interprets and shares market information: customers, competitors and potential new channels/customers;
    • Monitors developments on the market and, if necessary, provides a timely response, for example, regarding product developments of competitors;
    • Analyses this market information and proposes expansion options (new business opportunities);
  • Advises on market developments and trends as input for the company's strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a related field, preferably in Sales, or equivalent level achieved through work experience;
  • At least 5 years of sales experience preferably in the blinds market;
  • Tech savvy, with an interest in new technology;
  • Ability to work independently and be self-driven;
  • Be proactive, with an entrepreneurial and results-driven attitude;
  • Essential soft skills: high potential, drive & energy; ambition, natural people person and team player; strong relationship-building abilities; excellent collaboration and communication skills;
  • Understand marketing and selling basics, like market factors, business performance indicators, value chain and sources of growth;
  • Residency in the Midlands/East Anglia Region.
