Job Description

The pricing analyst is responsible for supporting the definition and optimization of the prices of the products and services offered by the company to improve its performance in terms of volume, margin and, ultimately, profitability across Southern Europe perimeter.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Somfy Business Area Pricing Manager and the Business Units on data analysis regarding different pricing projects and ensure compliance with the group policy (margins analysis, price increase follow-up, discounts adjustments and projections, new product launches, market data analysis, etc.);
  • Work closely with the Business Units on the implementation of the annual pricing policy/process, preparation of price increases, impact analyses and margin forecasts;
  • Train and support the key-users on the pricing tool, interact with IT concerning the operation and maintenance, assist the sales teams, generate mass processing (products switches and launches, annual review, negotiation reviews, etc.);
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline pricing practices and enhance the accuracy of the data;
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing research findings and recommendations for senior management;
  • Participate in developing a pricing community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, business administration (or a related field);
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft with advanced Excel skills and other analytical software tools;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively across various departments;
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines;
  • Knowledge of CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus;
  • A keen interest in market dynamics and pricing strategies;
  • Fluency in English is a must, any other language is considered a plus.
